The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) requires that you are 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and possess good moral character.

#3: Complete PreLicense Training

Take online PreLicense courses through a trusted provider of real estate education. Many of our agents took courses through MIRE School, an online real estate school in Michigan.

#4: Take The Real Estate Exam

#6: Apply For Your Real Estate License

Once you have successfully completed the pre-licensing class, you will be eligible to take the State of Michigan Real Estate Salesperson's License Exam. The exam is currently administered by PSI Exams.

You passed! Now it's time to interview with a Real Estate Broker (You can do this step while taking classes too). Secure employment with a licensed real estate broker who will mentor and guide you in your career.

Submit your application, along with fees and necessary documents, to LARA. Upon approval, receive your real estate license from LARA, marking the beginning of your career as a real estate agent.
