Obtaining your real estate license in Michigan requires meeting specific criteria. You must be at least 18 years old, successfully complete 40 hours of approved education, submit an exam application and obtain authorization for testing, pass the Michigan real estate salesperson licensing exam, and finally, secure employment with a sponsoring broker.
In order to become a real estate agent in Michigan, you need to complete 40 hours of Pre-Licensing education, obtaining three complete candidate endorsements (recommendations), and successfully passing the state licensing exam. This is something you can complete at your own pace. Our agents have taken anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years! Depends on the person and their schedule.
The average Michigan real estate agent can make anywhere from $25,000 to $130,000 annually. It all depends on the amount of time an agent works, the agent's skillset, and their network.
